My recent stay at The Beacon Hotel in Sandyford was quite enjoyable, especially thanks to the attentive staff like Ciara, who helped with our check-in and gave us useful directions. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable, but I found some small issues, such as the lack of certain amenities that were expected. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, although I felt it could be a bit more really good to match the hotel's overall quality.

The room I stayed in was lovely and bright, featuring a great bathroom with a fabulous shower. It provided the best sleep I've had in a hotel bed for months, although I did notice that some advertised amenities were missing.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful, with specific shoutouts to Ciara for excellent service and Eva in the restaurant. However, some interactions felt a bit dismissive.
Location

Situated near the Industrial Estate and close to the Beacon South Quarter, the location is convenient for accessing the M50 and for trips to the Dundrum shopping center. However, the immediate surroundings are not visually appealing.
Dining

The breakfast offered a wide variety including a full Irish breakfast and continental options. It was decent, though I expected it to be more really good considering the hotel's reputation.
Facilities

The hotel features a well-stocked bar that provides a vibrant atmosphere, which I enjoyed. However, some aspects fell short of expectations, such as the coffee and room service prices being a bit steep.

I had an overall pleasant stay at The Beacon, with friendly staff and a unique decor I enjoyed. However, the service fell short at times, particularly during check-in, which was a bit frustrating. The breakfast options were fantastic, and I appreciated the free parking as a great bonus.

My room was lovely with a spacious balcony and funky decor. I found it comfortable, though there was a minor cleanliness issue, which dampened my overall impression.

The service varied throughout my stay. While the reception staff were generally friendly, my check-in experience was quite delayed, which was disappointing after a long drive.

My stay at The Beacon was a mixed bag. On one hand, my room was spacious, clean, and had a comfy bed. However, the service left much to be desired, and there were quite a few hiccups with the dining options that dampened the experience.
Rooms

The rooms were spacious and really clean, plus the bed was super comfy. Just wish there was better heating; I felt a bit chilly during the night without any override thermostat to warm things up.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally friendly, but some seemed a bit disengaged, almost like they were going through the motions. I had high hopes based on past visits, but this time it felt off.
Location

For me, the location was perfect since it was close to where I needed to be. It made it easy to zip in and out for my work commitments, but I can see it being a drawback for tourists looking for city center access.
Dining

Dining was a letdown. The restaurant had switched from my favorite Thai to Urban Fox without any heads-up, and the meal options I wanted were unavailable. I felt the atmosphere could have been way better too.
Facilities

The common areas were spacious and nicely designed, but some amenities, like the breakfast availability, were just not convenient. I wish I could've had breakfast earlier than 8am since I had a tight schedule.

I had a mixed experience at The Beacon. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, though I did notice some signs of wear and tear. The staff was generally friendly, but I encountered a stand-offish attitude during the check-in process, which was a bit disappointing. Dining options were good but pricey, with breakfast being the highlight of my stay.

My room was spacious and well-decorated, though I noticed some wear and tear. The bathroom was luxurious with a lovely standalone bath. However, I felt the room could be warmer with only one radiator and no AC.

While some staff were very friendly, particularly during breakfast, I experienced a frustrating check-in with a staff member who wasn’t very accommodating. Overall, the service varied but made an effort to assist.

The hotel is in a good spot, with easy access to public transport like the Luas, making it convenient for getting into the city. It's also near the Wicklow Mountains, which is great for exploring.

I enjoyed the breakfast that was abundant and delicious. Unfortunately, I found the dinner options quite overpriced and service during that time wasn't the best – my poached eggs arrived overcooked.

The amenities were decent, with clean and spacious common areas. The bar had a lively atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day out, but I wish dining options were more reasonably priced.

I had a wonderful stay at The Beacon, where the staff provided really good service, especially during our time after the concert. The dining experience was fabulous, particularly the meals in the bar. However, I did find the room service breakfast lacking, which I plan to revisit next time by dining in the restaurant instead.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I felt well cared for, especially by Wayne and Edward, who went out of their way to ensure we were looked after before and after the concert.

I found the hotel's location to be great for both accessing Dublin city and nearby attractions like Marley Park. It was also convenient to get to via the Luas tram.

Dining at the bar was a highlight, with delicious food options. However, I was disappointed that the breakfast options were limited for room service, as I only found scrambled eggs available.

The hotel offered good amenities, but I noticed that the carpet needed cleaning in some areas, which was a minor drawback. I also appreciated the free parking, which simplifies travel for those with vehicles.
